Enterprises bump up Microsoft’s revenue more than consumer products

Microsoft’s latest earnings report shows the corporation has been stronger than expected, based on an increase in both revenue and profits, and is set to be a booming year for the software maker.

According to one source, the Windows 10 S operating system is set to outsell the regular Windows 10 version, which is expected to be a success. Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 10 S is a new version of Windows 10 that only lets users install apps from the Windows Store. It’s not meant to be a full Windows operating system. The app store only contains a selection of apps that will run on Windows 10 S, including apps for the Microsoft Edge browser and a Skype app. Users can’t install apps that aren’t from the Windows Store.

Microsoft is the latest company to report earnings from its partnership with the U.S. government. The company reports that its new cloud services and enterprise business helped it grow revenue faster than consumer products.

Microsoft reported $46.2 billion in sales for the quarter ending June 30th, 2021, up 21% from the previous quarter. Operating income increased by 42% to $19.1 billion, with net income reaching $16.5 billion (a rise of 47 percent ).

Microsoft also makes a lot of money through Azure, Linkedin, and Dynamics.

In addition, according to the company’s FY21 Q4 report, commercial cloud revenue increased by 36% year over year to $19.5 billion.

Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s new CEO, complimented the Azure division for its outstanding performance. And appropriately so, given that the Azure division of the corporation saw a 51 percent increase in revenue.

LinkedIn was also a top performer, as the business-focused social network had a 46 percent gain in income, fueled by a 97 percent increase in marketing solutions.

Not surprising, given that user numbers increased by 30% and engagement levels reached new highs. As a result of all of this, LinkedIn’s revenue surpassed $10 billion for the first time. 

Dynamics, another of the Redmond behemoth’s MVPs for the last quarter, also contributed significantly to the company’s revenue, with products and cloud services sales jumping by 33%.

What does Microsoft have planned for the future?

Everyone is now enthusiastic about the new operating system, which will undoubtedly mark yet another watershed moment in the company’s history.

Many companies who are technically capable of transitioning to the new OS and can afford it will undoubtedly choose this choice.

Microsoft will see a significant rise in income as a result of this. It’s already going well, especially considering we’re still in the early stages of Windows 11 testing and there are a lot of new customers.
