Register a Twitter account

What are you waiting to do? Create a Twitter Account if you’re not already on social media. Follow these simple steps to get on the Twitter path.

First, download Twitter from the App Store for iPhone or Android and then tap “Sign up”.

You can create an account using a browser from your desktop or computer by simply going to www.twitter.com, and selecting the ” Register” option.

Second Step:After you have chosen to sign up for the service, you will be guided through the steps to complete the requiredinformation to create an account. Please enter your name and date of birth. Click on “Next”.

5th Step: You can add your profile picture and a bio or skip them for later. Both would give your account legitimacy and help you distinguish it from bot or fake accounts.

6: You will then receive a list of accounts to follow. Follow them either by clicking the “follow button” next to their name or by simply tapping the “follow button” at the top.

7th Step: If you’re using your smartphone, you will be asked to connect your contacts to Twitter in order to make friends and to follow them.

Step 8 : You would then be able to see your timeline. You can view your Twitter Profile and see your Display Name.

Create a second Twitter account – App or on the web

Twitter allows you to add an account, or connect up to five accounts. The process for combining accounts can vary from one app to the next.


ON THE APP

First step: Launch the app, and login to an existing account.

Step 2 On an iPhone select your profile photo and tap the three-dot icon Profile.

You can access your profile avatar from an iPad by selecting the More icon.

You can use an Android phone by going to the hamburger menu at the top and tapping the down arrow.

Step 3. Now, tap “Create an account“. If you don’t have a secondary account, you can link it to your primary account. This will allow you to go through the exact same steps as creating a new account.

Select ” Create a second Twitter account” if you have one already. This will prompt you to enter the username, phone number and email ID of the account that you want to link.

After the accounts have been merged, the app will display multiple accounts.


ON The Web:

Step 1 Log in to an existing account and go to www.twitter.com on any browser you prefer.

Second Step: Click on your Twitter profile icon.

Step 3. On the Web, there is only one option: Add an existing account. If your second account has not been created yet, create it and then link your first account with your second.


Switching between multiple accounts on Twitter’s web and mobile apps

After you have merged your accounts you will need to manage multiple accounts simultaneously. Switching between accounts is different from the Twitter mobile app and Twitter web.

First Step: Go to the picture icon under the new tweet button in the left navigation lane.

Second Step: The menu will display all accounts that are currently merged with the current account. To switch accounts, click on the account that you want to changeto.

Step 1. If you’re using an iPhone tap the profile avatar at the upper left corner, then click the three-dot icon Profile.

Tap on an iPad to go to Profile.

To use an Android device tap the hamburger menu at the top and select the down button.

2nd Step: A list of all accounts associated with this account will be displayed. You can select the account that you wish to change to.


Unlock an Account

You can also connect more than one Twitter account. In these steps you can easily disconnect each of them.

Step 1. Switch to the account that you want to remove from.

2nd Step: Log into the account. The account will be removed from the connected account list. You will be able to log in to other accounts.

Twitter allows you to log out of your accounts from one location.

While manage Accounts is open, tap to edit. This will bring up the list of your additional accounts. Logout of all accounts at the bottom. You can select it to disconnect all secondary accounts from your current account.
